Price, warranty, battery life: the real criteria for choosing between a new iPhone and a refurbished iPhone imported from China.
Price, the First Criterion
A new iPhone imported directly from China already costs less than in stores in France, as you avoid the distribution network's markup. A refurbished one goes further: depending on the grade, expect up to 50% savings compared to a new one.

Battery Life and Performance
For a refurbished device, the battery capacity must always be specified. Below a certain threshold, I replace the battery before shipping: this is the most important point to check before buying second-hand.
Which Choice for Which Use?
- New: you want the latest model, with no signs of use, and a full manufacturer warranty.
- Refurbished: you want the best value for money, even if it means getting a model one or two generations older.
