01. Instagram Arrives on Apple TV

Instagram has recently launched its app on Apple TV. This marks a first for the social network, which now allows users to view content directly on their television. Reels, longer videos, and live shows are accessible through this platform.

02. App Features

The Instagram app for Apple TV offers several interesting features:

• Watch content from your favorite creators
• Discover new videos
• Resume playback on different devices

Instagram describes this app as a way to share moments with friends and family, extending the video experience to the television screen.

03. Availability and Launch

According to reports, the app was launched on October 23. A specific metadata for the version indicates that version 66.0 went live on that day. However, an archived list from the App Store showed that the app was still compatible only with iPhone and iPad a few days prior.

04. A Gradual Development

Instagram began testing its TV app on Amazon Fire TV devices in the United States in December 2025, before expanding to Google TV and Samsung smart TVs. Initially, the experience focused on Reels, organized by interests and featuring autoplay.

05. Future Planning

In June, Meta, Instagram's parent company, announced plans to expand the app. New features, such as longer creator content, episodic series, and live broadcasts, are expected to enhance the television experience for users.
